Geographic atrophy remains an important cause of permanent vision loss despite historic progress have been made in managing vitreoretinal diseases over the past decade. It is a common and untreatable form of advanced age-related macular degeneration(AMD). The present review primarily focuses on the latest treatment of geographic atrophy.
