The development of geohysical exploration depends greatly on the introduction of advanced modern science and technology.This paper discribs the current situation of geophysical exploration for solid minerals in four aspects,the wide application of micro—processors in the instrumentation marks a great leap in the development of geophysical exploration;the airborne gravity continueous survey system and super— conductive technology are accepted as another important development in the same area;the rapid developments in modern electronic and computer science have brought about a remarkable advance to the research in depth geophysics;and the use of the non—seismic method in the exploration for petroleum and the intensive research in geothermal energy and engineering problem have expanded the application of geohysical exploration.
