摘要
地壳运动的方向分为上下、左右、前后三种。上下波动叫蚕行波,左右摆动叫蛇行波,前后推移叫蠕行波。地壳运动是这三种波相结合的运功,它们不可能相互分开。由这三种波浪运动所形成的或大或小的断块或岩石碎块镶嵌在一起,构成波浪状镶嵌构造。——这是本文作者所提出的构造学说。波浪状镶嵌构造运动并不形成正南北和正东西向构造,而是形成北西——南东和北东——南西的斜向构造,由这些斜向构造相互交叉,构成了地球上的网状构造格局。波浪状镶嵌构造的特点,其一是地块的相对稳定性和构造带的比较活动性;其二,构造带在力学上多是剪切或挤压张裂性质,它们总是交替进行的;其三,剪切带之间都有相等的间距,即等间距性。波浪状镶嵌构造说认为,地壳运动的推动力不仅是地球自转所派生的离心力与水平分力,而且还有地壳自身脉动的原因。
The crustal movement is going on in three dimensions. The vertical undulation is called as silkworm-motion wave. the lateral swing is called as snake-motion wave, while the translation forwards and backwards is named as creep wave. The crustal movement is an integrate movement induced by the combination of these three waves. The blocks or rock fragments in varieties of size produced by these three wavy movements inlaid with each other forming wavy mosaic-like structure. This is the tectonic hypothesis proposed by the auther. Wavy mosaic tectonism does not produce any N-S and E-W structures, but only those orientated obliquely in NW-SE and NE-SW directions, which, by cross cutting and superposing upon each other, form net structure on the earth. The characteristics of wavy-like mosaic stoucture are summarised as: a, the relative stability of blocks and the relative activity of tectonic zomes; b, dynamically, most of tectonic zomes being of shearing or compression-tension-fracturing in nature and the shearing and compression-tension-fracturing being in work alternately; c, the equal distances between shear zones. The driving forces of the crustal movement according to the hypothesis, include not only the centrifugal force and the horizontal component derived from the rotation of the earth, but also the force leading to the pulsation of the crust proper. The author holds that spherical tetrahedron probably be a general feature for all celestial bodies. The carth. for example, is spheroidal with four apexes and for correspondent plans. The Pacific, the Atlantic, the Arctic and the Indian Ocean are four concave surfaces, and the four correspondent apexes are Africa, Asia, North America and Antactica. This structural pattern forms a spheroidel tetrahedron. This is just feature of the earth.
