语言作为文化的一个组成部分,反映一个民族丰富多彩的方化现象。习语是语言的精华,它们承载着一个民族的文化特色和文化信息。不同民族有着不同的文化,英汉习语所反是非曲直的文化差异主要表现在自然生存环境、社会风俗习惯、价值观念、宗教信仰、历史文化等五个方面上。
As a part of culture,language reflects a rich and colorful phenomenon of a nation. Idioms are the essence of language,carrying the cultural characteristics and cultural information of a nation. Different nations have different cultures. The cultural differences between English and Chinese idioms mainly reflect on the followings five aspects: natural environment,social customs,values,religious beliefs,history and culture.
