Discussion on Cultural Thought Differences and English Teaching

作为一项专门研究人类语言的科学,语言学承载了不同性别、不同文化、不同种族人类之间的交流和沟通的使命。所以,在开展语言科学的教学过程中,必须对该种语言的文化思想背景进行全面的了解和掌握。由此推论,在进行英语教学时,教师应当在课堂中有针对性的渗透学科相关文化背景知识,使学生能够充分了解英、汉之间的文化思想差异,并能够正确的掌握英语知识,全面加强英语应用能力。

As an special subject to study the human language,linguistics bears the missions to exchange and communication from different gender,culture and race. Thus,in the process of linguistic science teaching,we must understand and grasp the cultural thought background comprehensively. Therefore,the related knowledge of cultural background should be infiltrated by the teachers in the class and enable the students to know the cultural thought differences between English and Chinese to grasp the English knowledge correctly together with strengthen English practical ability comprehensively.
