With the rapid development of information technology and the changing of the mass media,the new media era quietly arrives.Challenges and opportunities of ideological and political education under the new media environment coexist.This pa-per analyzes the influence of new media environment of ideological and political education of the students,tries to establish new pattern of students'ideological and political education under the new media environment to explore the method of ideological and political education of college Students under the new media environment.
