This paper discusses the effective ways which can strengthen the construction of the second classroom in education and teaching of English major in independent college. It analyzes the related issues of establishing the second classroom to enhance students’ autonomy in English learning,reduce their language anxiety,and improve their comprehensive language ability and employment competitiveness.
