期望价值理论视域下大学新生英语学习投入研究——以淮北师范大学大一学生为例 被引量:1

A Study of College Freshmen’s English Learning Input from the Perspective of Expected Value Theory ——Taking Freshmen of Huaibei Normal University as an Example

摘要 研究主要通过文献资料法、问卷调查法和数理统计法等研究方法,从期望价值理论视角出发研究淮北师范大学新生的英语学习投入。结果表明,淮北师范大学新生英语学习的期望价值程度较低,学习积极性投入不足,消极性投入较高,学生学习英语的期望价值与学习投入之间存在显著性相关性。在具体的3个维度上,能力期望、价值观念两个维度都与英语学习积极性投入之间显著正相关关系,与英语学习消极投入之间呈显著负相关关系;成功期望英语积极学习投入和消极学习投入之间虽有所相关,但都无显著相关。因此,提出在新生入学伊始就应该高度重视、并积极采取有效措施,加强对其期望价值的培养,促进其及早地积极性投入,克服消极性投入。 This study mainly studies the freshmen’s English learning engagement in Huaibei Normal University from the perspective of expectation value theory through the methods of literature,questionnaire and mathematical statistics.The results show that the freshmen of Huaibei Normal University have low expectation value in English learning,insufficient learning enthusiasm and high negative input.There is a significant correlation between the expectation value of students’learning English and their learning input.On the three dimensions,competence expectation and values are positively correlated with English learning motivation and negatively correlated with English learning passivity.Successful expectation is positively correlated with English learning initiative,but not significantly correlated with negative learning involvement.Therefore,we should attach great importance to and take effective measures to strengthen the cultivation of the expected value of freshmen at the beginning of their enrollment,so as to promote their early positive investment and overcome their negative investment.
