With the globalization of economy and culture in China,more and more attention has been paid to English linguistics and its application,and the exploration of English linguistics has gradually deepened.Therefore,in order to meet the needs of today’s social development for the application of English,it is of great significance to study the development process of English linguistics.This paper explores the concepts of linguistics,the development of English linguistics and the influencing factors of the development of English linguistics,and finally studies the development trend of English language.
