Ethical Reflection on the Lack of Academic Standard in Colleges and Universities

高校学术失范的实质是道德问题。这一问题产生的原因在于传统的道德是一种他律 ,并不是真正意义上的自律。解决这一问题需要多方面的努力 ,从伦理角度而言 ,首先要培养独立人格 ,形成自律的道德 ,其次要改革量化的评价指标体系 。

Academic standard negligence is in reality a moral problem which derives from the fact that the traditional morality is a discipline excised by others rather than by oneself. To solve this problem, we need many sided efforts. From ethical perspective, we must, firstly, cultivate independent personality to form a self disciplined morality. Secondly, we should reform the quantitative appraisal system. Thirdly, we ought to establish a supervising and punishing mechanism.
