王森文及其《石门碑醳》

王森文 ,山东渚城人 ,清初山东名士王成祉之次子。嘉庆十二年任兴安府安康知县。与郑廉合作 ,纂修了《安康县志》 2 0卷。嘉庆十五年王森文调任汉中府略阳县知县 ,公务之余 ,对石门石刻悉心探究 ,最后写成了《石门碑》一书。此书是保存至今的第一部石门石刻文献 ,具有非常重要的价值。

Wang Senwen was a magistrate of Ankang County, which was under the control of Xingan Prefecture during the times of 12 th years domination of Emperor Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty. He cooperated with Zheng Lian and wrote the book The Annals of Ankang County for about 20 volumes. In the 15 th year of Emperor Jiaqing, he was transferred to Hang-zhong and employed as the magistrate of Lueyang County. During his spare time, he was greatly keen on the research about Shimen sculpture and finished a book named Shimen Inscriptions on Tablets. The book is still of great value for us because it is the first historical document which is related to the research on the stone sculpture till today.
