Fair treatment of seafarers in the event of marine accidents

从海上事故中船员遭受不公平待遇现象的普遍性入手,阐述国际立法的相关规定,分析立法趋势,进而针对我国法律制度现状提出立法和执法方面的相关建议,期待我国能够对此问题引起重视,在保障船员公平待遇的前提下实现航运业的可持续发展。

Based on the fact that seafarers frequently suffer unfair treatment in the event of marine accidents,this paper introduces the international,regional and national legislations on the topic,speculates the international legislative trend,analyses some flaws of Chinese legislation,and makes some suggestions on how to improve the legislations and their implementation.The author suggests that the Chinese government should draw the attention to this problem and take measures to enforce the fair treatment of seafarers in the event of marine accidents.
