The Contemporary Significance of Aristotle's Four- Cause Hypothesis

亚里士多德的四因说对于今天的自然科学研究而言几乎是没有意义的。但在摆脱近现代因果概念而予以重新解读之后,特别是在实施现象学的改造之后,四因说在今天仍是富有意义的。它不仅有助于理解今天已难以真正理解的周围事物,以便让单调的世界再次充满意义,而且有助于开展人的本己生存并追求人的幸福生活。

Aristotle's Four- Cause Hypothesis is almost no significance to contemporary scientific research. But if we get rid of modern causal conception and reinterpret it,and especially transform it with Heidegger's phenomenology,then the Four- Cause Hypothesis is still significant today. It can not only help us understand our surrounding things,which can already hardly been understood genuinely today,to make our monotonous world meaningful once again in this scientific age,but also can help us disclose our ownmost existence and pursue our happy life.
