当唯科学主义笼罩一切——五四新文化运动时期的科学观念再阐释

五四时期是中国现代民族主义高扬的伟大时代,中国人民的爱国热情空前高涨;五四时期是狂飙突进的思想启蒙时代,各种各样的新观念、新思潮、新文化竞相激荡;五四时期是思想的天空大放异彩的璀璨时代,陈独秀、李大钊、蔡元培、胡适、鲁迅、毛泽东、吴虞、钱玄同、傅斯年、张东荪、杜亚泉、王光祈等影响深远的风云人物纷纷涌现。作为五四时期的重大标志性事件,五四运动至今已过去了百年,伴随着这一事件的百年纪念历程,学术界对于五四人物及其思想的研究也持续了百年。在五四百年后的今天,人们仍然以各种各样的方式纪念、研究和阐释"五四",这不仅表明"五四"仍然有着不可磨灭的历史贡献,而且意味着"五四"所倡导的民主与科学精神依然具有永恒的时代价值,值得继续继承和高扬。作为五四精神的继承者,我们有必要站在新时代的高点上,回眸反思五四人物及其思想,重新审视五四时期的各种新思潮,揭示五四新文化运动的深层意蕴,再现五四思想天空的璀璨光辉。正是基于这种历史考量,我们与《河北学刊》杂志社共同策划了这组专题讨论,约请学术界相关专家对五四时期的风云人物(如陈独秀、蔡元培等)及有代表性的思想(如科学主义)等,再次进行深入考察,发掘其时代价值,以此纪念五四运动一百周年。

The May 4 th Movement is a great era in which Chinese modern nationalism is highly promoted. Today,people still commemorate,study and explain the May 4 th Movement in various ways. This not only shows that the May 4 th Movement still has an indelible historical contribution,but also means that the democratic and scientific spirit advocated by the May 4 th Movement still has eternal value of the times. As inheritors of the spirit of the May 4 th Movement,it is necessary for us to stand on the high point of the new era,review the characters and thoughts of the May 4 th Movement,re-examine various new trends of thought during the May 4 th Movement,and reveal the deep meaning of the May 4 th New Cultural Movement. Based on this historical consideration,we jointly planned this group of special discussion with Hebei Academic Journal to make a further indepth study to discover its contemporary value,in order to commemorate the centenary anniversary of the May 4 th Movement.
