On the “Prototype”Form of the Integration of Prose and Poetry in the Pre-Qin Period

在先秦文学中,不论是带有哲学性质的诸子散文,还是记事性质的历史散文,均多韵语,深于取象,妙用比兴,放任虚构和想象,行文灵动而跳宕,显示出鲜明的抒情倾向和诗体特征。这种散文与诗歌一体不分的"原型"形态,对秦汉以降历代散文创作产生了深远影响,构成了中国古代文学"以诗为文"之传统。从用韵、比兴、取象、抒情性、想象力、跳跃性等方面对先秦散文与诗歌一体不分的"原型"形态加以考察,有助于探究中国古代文学发展的基本走向与规律。

In pre-Qin literature,whether it is the prose of philosophical scholars or the historical prose of chronicle nature,distinct lyric tendencies and poetic features are shown. This form of 'prototype'which integrates prose and poetry has exerted a far-reaching influence on the prose creation of the past dynasties since Qin and Han dynasties. It is helpful to exploring the basic trend and law of the development of ancient Chinese literature by investigating the 'prototype'form of the integration of prose and poetry in the pre-Qin period in terms of rhyme,comparison,image-taking,lyricism,imagination and jumping.
