Taking GDP per capita as the index of measurement, based on the analysis platform of geographical space and spatial autocorrelation, meanwhile, combining traditional analysis methods such as standard deviation, coefficient of variation and Gene coefficient. Taking Harbin-Changchun urban agglomeration as the object, through the comparison of the absolute differences and the relative differences within the urban agglomeration, the characteristics of the level of economic development within the urban agglomeration are analyzed from two angles of time and space. Through spatial autocorrelation analysis, based on four temporal sections, the spatial agglomeration characteristics of county economic development level since 2000 is described. The results show that the level of internal economic development in Harbin-Changchun urban agglomeration has risen significantly, but both the absolute and relative differences of economic development have expanded. The trend of spatial agglomeration development is changed from negative correlation to positive correlation, and the correlation a regions shows a gradually increasing trend. The spatial agglomeration characteristics of economic development level show that the polarization of distribution on number of cities and counties in low and high levels is obvious. The northern and southern regions are characterized by polarization, among which the northern areas are backward development, and the central and southern regions develop better.
