The use of cohesion can make the English Abstract clearer and more coherent. Applying Halliday's Cohesion theory,this paper analyzes the means of cohesion of the English abstracts of research article in the Self-built corpus in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering,aimed at improving the researchers' writing ability in English abstracts of research article.
