副文本视角下赵元任《阿丽思漫游奇境记》汉译本研究

A study on Zhao Yuanren's Chinese Version of Alice's Adventure in Wonderland in the light of Paratext Theory

副文本理论在翻译研究领域中一直处于边缘地带,没有受到足够的重视。以赵元任先生的译本《阿丽思漫游奇境记》为研究对象,从副文本的视角出发,通过探讨译本中的序言、凡例和插图对译文意义的作用能够清晰地阐释副文本对于译文理解的作用。分析结果表明,副文本有助于引导读者对译文的正确理解,从而保证读者对原文意义的把握。因此,在翻译研究中,应该重视译本中副文本对于译文的重要作用。

For a long time,Paratext Theory has been marginalized in translation studies. This paper studies the Zhao Yuanren's Chinese Version of Alice's Adventure in Wonderland in the light of Paratext Theory. Through analyzing the significant functions of the preface,notes and illustrations in understanding the meaning of translation works,it shows that those paratextual elements help readers to understand the work in a right way so that they can understand the original work in an appropriate way. Therefore,those paratextual elements in translation work should be an important part in translation studies and we should pay more attention to it.
