In this paper,first,the concept of 'shi'under the context of Chinese traditional philosophy is summarized to figure out its original meaning. Second,French Sinologist Francois Jullien's philosophy research of'shi'is expounded and evaluated through unscrambling his La Propension des Choses : Pour une Histoire de l'Efficacité en Chine. Last,a general comment and related enlightenment are concluded by rethinking profoundly on Jullien's philosophy research of 'shi'.
