U.S.Policy on Korean Nuclear Issue In the Context of Neo-Conservatism

新保守主义继承了威尔逊的理想主义、对所有敌对的意识形态都不共戴天的杰克逊主义以及尼克松所信奉的现实主义,反对受制于国际组织与多边主义的干扰,主张美国在必要时必须使用武力来维护它的理念和利益,唯有扩展民主才能确保美国的安全。布什政府内部在朝核问题上大体上有两种不同的见解与对朝观,其中新保守主义占据了上风,并主导了美国对朝政策。布什政府的朝核政策也一反克林顿政府相对温和的"接触战略"而制造了新朝核危机。

Inheriting Wilson's idealism,Jackson Doctrine that contains a potent hatred against any hostile ideologies,and realism that believed and implemented by Nixon administration,the Neo-Conservatism opposes any intervention from international organizations and multilateralism.It maintains that U.S.must protect its convictions and interests by force if necessary,and that the expansion of democracy is the only reliable measure for guarantee of U.S. security.Generally speaking,there are two different opinions on the handling of Korean nuclear issue and concerning the perception on North Korea,among which the neo-conservatism takes a prevalent status and orients the U.S.policy on North Korea.It is owing to this doctrine that Bush administration formulated its own policy on Korean nuclear issue,which is a drastic alteration from the relatively mild'engagement strategy'of Clinton administration,and that a new crisis happened on Korean nuclear issue.
