Yellow River Civilization and the Urban Characteristics of Lanzhou

城市特色的塑造是当地历史渊源深厚的地方文明与外来文化高度融合后共同作用的结果。兰州市地方文化的形成虽然主要受到了黄河文明的分支——关陇文化的影响,但也同时受到草原游牧文化、藏文化的影响。因为地方文化对城市形态与结构、文化习俗、建筑风格、居民性格等都有影响,兰州城市特色就带有了浓郁的黄河文明以及其它文明作用的轨迹与特征,其城市特色建设也应慎重考虑文化基础的'灵魂'性作用和导向。

The city’s character is the result of synergy arising from the local historical tied with the foreign culture to the high degree of integration.The formation of local culture of Lanzhou was mainly influenced by Guanlong culture which was a branch of the Yellow River civilization,but at the same time influenced by the Nomadic Culture and Tibetan Culture.The local culture influenced urban forms and structures,cultural customs,architectural style,resident’s character,etc.So the character of Lanzhou had strong track and characteristics impacted by the Yellow River civilization and other cultures,the urban characteristic construction also should be taken into serious consideration the cultural basis"soul"function and orientation.
