Tian Wenjing’s Management of People—harm in Yongzheng—Reign of Qing Dynasty

田文镜于雍正年间在任河南巡抚期间,积极致力于对'民害'的治理,即通过倡导良好的价值观与根治若干社会陋习相结合,治贪官与治劣民相结合,积极维护小民的利益等措施,力求从端正社会风气入手,培养良民,减少社会上的讼争,维持和谐稳定的社会局面。对于小农而言,为他们创造赖以生存的基本生活条件是根本,否则,社会稳定的基础就将失去,社会动乱就势必会出现。

When being the Henan governor in Yongzheng—reign of Qing Dynasty,Tian Wenjing was positively devoting to managing the People—harm,combining proposing correct value with eradicating corrupt customs,managing corrupt officials with managing bad people,and protecting citizens’profits,in order to correct social conducts,foster good people,reduce litigations,uphold a harmonious and stable society.It is a basic foundation for common farmers to create survival living conditions,otherwise,the society will lose its stable foundation and get unrest.
