In order to study the emission characteristics of H2S and CS2 and their impacts on environment in cotton-pulp chemical-fiber enterprises, a chemical-fiber enterprise in Manas County was taken as the research object. The pollution level of H2S and CS2 concentrations by organized and unorganized emission, and those on factory boundary as well as sensitive sampling sites of the enterprise were quantitatively assessed, then correlation analysis was adopted to determine the main influence factors on the regional environment. Research showed that the emission characteristics of H2S and CS2 in cotton-pulp chemical-fiber enterprise were: organized emissions>unorganized emissions. According to unorganized emission sources, H2S and CS2 concentrations were highest at the sewage plant, and lowest at the stock-solution workshop and the sodium thiohydride production workshop, respectively. The pollutant concentration was not beyond the standard at both the factory boundary and the sensitive sampling sites. Unorganized emission from the sewage plant and the stock-solution workshop was the main influence factor on the factory boundary(P<0.01), and unorganized emission was the major pollution source affecting the sensitive sampling sites(P<0.05), which indicated that unorganized emissions had a significant impact on regional environment, and required urgent monitoring and controlling.
