统一考试与国家认同——一个发展中多民族国家的实践

On Unified Examination and National Identity——A Case Study of a Developing Multi-nationality Country

摘要 特立尼达和多巴哥共和国尤其重视考试制度设计,充分认识、挖掘和发挥统一考试对于促进国家认同的作用,通过不断改革和完善考试制度,推行国家统一考试,现已基本达到了促进国家认同的目的。实践证明,对于多民族国家而言,考试制度不应该仅仅从属于教育制度、人才制度,而是与之并驾齐驱,直接服务于国家政治。政治属性才是考试的第一属性,促进国家认同、维护政治统治才是考试的第一职能。 Since she has attached particular importance to the examination system design, the Re-public of Trinidad and Tobago as a developing multi-nationality country, fully understands the cru-cial role of examination in the nationality identity. In that case, the country continually promotes theexamination reform and thus helps to strengthen the national identity. The practice in the Republicof Trinidad and Tobago shows that for most multi-nationality countries, examination system belongsto the education system and human resources system, and more importantly, it serves the country’spolitics directly. In one word, this article holds that examinations are primarily political, playing arole of promoting nationality identity and maintaining political domination. Four pieces of suggestionsare also put forward at the end of the article.
