摘要
随着对外交流的增强,高校作为文化交流的重要组成部分,纷纷有了自己的英文校名,但由于缺乏统一的规范和管理,中国高校英译名的现状比较混乱。通过对500多所高校英译名进行数据统计,对存在的问题进行了分析并给出了改进的建议。
With the increase of foreign exchanges,as an important role incultural communica-tion,universities have hasted to have an English name for themselves.However,due to the lack ofunified norms and administration,the current situation of English names for university in China isunsatisfactory.Based on the statistics of more than 500 English names for universities,this articlemade a brief analysis of the existing problems and put forward suggestions for improvement.
