Development of Chinese Teaching in Egypt and Its Restraining Factors

埃及汉语教学历史悠久,近十年来发展迅猛,取得了很大成绩。目前埃及汉语教学依然保持着良好的发展势头,但在汉语教学资源整合、课程设置、教学理念和方法更新、教材开发以及与语言教学相辅相成的中国文化介绍等方面还存在诸多问题。整合优化现有教学资源,加大孔子学院投入,完善奖学金制度,加强对埃及学者汉学研究的扶持力度,营造有利于汉语教学和中国文化传播的浓厚氛围,并创新其模式,是埃及汉语教育事业发展的必由之路。

Chinese teaching has a long history in Egypt. It has developed rapidly and made great achievements over the last decade. At present, Chinese teaching has maintained sound development momentum. At the same time, there are still some aspects which need to be improved, for example, the integration of Chinese teaching resources, the curriculum, teachingconcept and methods, teaching materials, and the promotion of Chinese culture which is interrelated with language teaching. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate and optimize the current Chinese teaching resources, increase investment in Confucius Institutes, perfect the scholarship system, provide more support for Egyptian scholars researching on Chinese, and create a strong atmosphere and new models that are beneficial to Chinese teaching and the promotion of Chinese culture.
