邢公畹先生曾就对外汉语教学问题发表了一系列论文,他主张,对特殊语言现象予以关注,对语法现象进行细致描写;强调研究语言的深层结构,重视探寻语言之间存在的普遍规律;提倡本体研究与实际应用紧密结合,重视在语境中的"言语"交流。邢先生的研究启示我们,对外汉语教学要针对汉语自身的特点,要重视汉外语言的对比研究,要依托对汉语的深入研究,要坚持语言为体、言语为用。

Xing Gongwan had published a series of papers on teaching Chinese as a foreign language.He advocated that we should pay attention to special linguistic phenomena,give detailed descriptions of grammar phenomena,explore the deep structure of language,and place emphasis on the universal rules across languages.He also suggested that we should combine ontological research and application together,and attach importance to 'parole' communication in context.Mr.Xing's research has dawned on us that the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language should be targeted at the distinctive characteristics of Chinese itself,while great emphasis should be laid on the comparative study of Chinese and foreign languages,and that it should be based on the indepth study of Chinese,and be kept in line with the fact that language is the internal foundation and speech is the external manifestation.
