版碑传四裔 犹在范规中——江理平先生书画艺术赏析

A calligrapher and painter with an engineering background——Appreciating Jiang Liping’s art works

著名书画家江理平先生退休前是上海同济大学航空航天与力学学院的教授,是研究工程力学的学者。同时,他又是拜师学艺五十多年,以书画扬名海上的书画家。笔者与江先生的相识源于十几年前他书写的一块店招和朋友家悬挂他的一幅书法作品,由此紧记在心。再与他相见则是两年前在他书斋欣赏他的书画近作,那些佳构杰作给我带来的感动已不是'震撼'二字所能形容。

Famous painter and calligrapher Jiang Liping was a professor at the School of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics at Tongji University before retirement. He followed many painting masters when he was young. I first met Jiang a decade ago after seeing a piece of his calligraphy work on a shop’s signboard and another piece at a friend’s home. I met Jiang again two years ago in his study. I was amazed by his work.
