雪点香炉,佳绝黄河.冬日的陕北,雪意中更显奇幻。黄河万里奔腾而来,一路势如破竹,劈开万仞崇山,呼啸而出,身腰一扭,就能打造出一个绝色景致,陕北佳县香炉寺即是。香炉寺位于县城东二百米的香炉峰峰顶,东临黄河,三面绝空,仅西北面以一狭径与县城古城门相通。寺下有一巨石如柱,立于黄河之中,石顶平阔,形如高足香炉,故得寺名,中国南北寺庙量不在少,东西道观难以数计,但如香炉寺筑造之精巧,建制之玲珑,景色之美妙者,绝无仅有。

Snow-capped Xianglu Temple,best view along the Yellow River.In winter after snow,Northern Shaanxi looks dreamier and more fantastic.The Yellow River darts along thousands of miles away and splits ten thousand of mountains with crushing force.Then it roars out and makes a turn to create wonderful sceneries,and the Xianglu Temple of Northern Shaanxi is one of them.Located on the top of the Xianglu Peak 200 meters east of the county town,the Xianglu Temple is open to three sides with the Yellow River in the east,and only a narrow path leading to the ancient gate of the county town in the northwest.Beneath the temple,there is a pillar-like huge rock standing in the Yellow River,with wide and flat top,and in the shape of a long-legged incense burner(xianglu in Chinese),and that’s how the temple got its name.China boasts for its numerous Buddhist temples and Taoist palaces across the country,but none matches the Xianglu Temple in terms of ingenious structure,exquisite architecture and beautiful scenery.
