This article deals with the importance of the development of informationization in the western areas of China, the problems and countermeasures. The author holds that the informationization in west China will give a fresh impetus to the development of higher education in big leaps. Actuality, problems and countermeasures in informationization to the higher education in western areas of China were put out for the profession.
