Since the reform and opening up 40 years ago,ideological and political education has consciously assumed its historical mission,focused on the issues of the times,and brought into full play the role of'lifeline',playing an important role in promoting the smooth progress of reform and opening up.These functions include facilitating the smooth opening of the reform and opening-up process,strengthening the ideological consensus of socialist market economy construction,promoting the construction of socialist spiritual civilization,promoting the construction of a well-off society in an all-round way,and consolidating the Party’s leading position in the reform and opening-up process.
