As one of the representative writers of novels with the 'Chinese traits',Shi Li is noted for her novels imbued with the 'culture and spirit of Chinese traits'. However,there has emerged in her To Endless Years some change in the writing of the traditional 'Chinese traits'marked by some features of unfamiliarity. This paper attempts to analyze the 'Chinese complex'of To Endless Years in terms of shifts in the narrative mode,a contrastive study of diverse cities and a comparison of major characters,etc.
