摘要
《爵士乐》是托尼·莫里森的代表作之一,至今鲜有学者对其进行圣经原型解析。作为文学批评的方法,原型批评通过比较分析作家采用的原型以对原型的置换变形,能清晰阐释作者的写作意图和蕴含的精神内核。在《爵士乐》中,莫里森使用圣经原型的书写方式,通过场景原型、情节原型、形象原型和人物原型的运用,探讨了整个黑人共同体的发展脉络与出路,揭示出只有在坚持回溯本源、保持本真与坚持传统的基础上才能帮助美国非裔群体走出历史阴影与精神创伤,谱写新的历史篇章。
Jazz is one of the masterpieces of American black woman writer Toni Morrison ,in which the bib‐lical archetypes are rarely discussed so far .As the literary critical approach ,archetypal criticism can clearly interpret writer's intention and the spiritual core of the works through comparative analysis of the adopted archetypes and the displacement of them in the works .In Jazz ,Morrison employed biblical archetypes to characterize her writing style .Through the archetypes of scenery ,plot ,image and character ,she explored the development and the direction of black community in the biblical perspective .It was revealed that the only way for Africa‐American to go out of the historical shadow and psychological trauma and write a new historical page is to stick to their root ,virtue and conformity .
