ERP is an enterprise information construction model commonly employed by international top enterprises,which is not only an information system but also embodies advanced theories,concepts,and methods of business management.In the course of globalization of our power enterprises and in the process of implementing the strategy of'realizing quantum leap development of our power industry and power enterprises through information construction and speeding up the progress of management innovation of our power enterprises',ERP system has become one of the issues of information planning for power enterprises.This article,through theoretical analysis of the value that ERP system can provide for power enterprises and the significance and gradual implementation of the SAP R/3system in Zhejiang power enterprises from a practical view,demonstrates promising prospects of ERP system application in Zhejiang power enterprises.
