Recognition of Freight Train Type Based on Difference of Brightness and Texture

提出了基于亮度差和纹理的货车类型识别方法，能有效区分棚式货车与敞式货车。实验表明这种方法具有较高的速度和识别成功率，能够满足实际应用。

To realize the detection of safe status of freight trains, the type of freight trains should be recognized by the images of freight train. The recognizing method of types of freight trains is put forward based on brightness difference and texture, and this method can distinguish the different types of freight trains. Experiment results show that the method has the fast speed and success rate of recognition, and can be put into practical use.
