“长命富贵”钱解析

An Analysis of the Gold Coin with the Inscriptions of “Longevity and Wealth”

长沙市博物馆馆藏一枚'长命富贵'钱,该金币出土于北宋胥元衡墓中,应属压胜钱。本文根据历史文献和考古发现对西汉至宋代各地出土的压胜钱进行分类和研究归纳,认为胥元衡墓中的'长命富贵'钱与河北获鹿县出土的金代'长命富贵'钱字体一致,更加印证了此钱的时代。

Changsha Municipal Museum houses in its collection one gold coin with the inscriptions of"Longevity and Wealth".This gold coin,an auspicious coin for the purpose of exorcising evil spirits,was unearthed from Xu Yuanheng's tomb of the Northern Song Dynasty.This article,on the basis of historical literature and archaeological findings,makes a classification and study of such auspicious coins unearthed from different parts of China and dating from Western Han Dynasty to Song Dynasty,and holds the view that the inscriptions on this coin are of the same font as the inscriptions"Longevity and Wealth"on the Jin Dynasty coin unearthed from Huolu County of Hebei Province.Such a conclusion further vindicates the age of this coin.
