竹簧起源于邵阳(宝庆),是一种具有浓郁地方特色的民间竹刻工艺。邵阳竹簧刻名家辈出,现代以王民生为代表,其所刻作品数量多、种类多、格调高雅,具有极高的实用性和艺术价值。笔者撰写此文,不仅是为了展示邵阳竹簧器的精美,更是想引起广大竹艺爱好者的关注和重视。这对加深认识邵阳竹簧这一民艺奇葩有着重要的意义。

Zhuhuang(handicraft articles made from bamboo with its green covering removed),originating from Shaoyang City(Baoqing),is a folk bamboo carving handcraft with strong local colors.Shaoyang has given birth to generations of zhuhuang masters represented in modern times by Wang Minsheng,whose works not only come in great number and category but also have high practical and artistic values.The author has written this article to show the exquisite beauty of Shaoyang zhuhuang artifacts and draw the interest and concern of zhuhuang artwork amateurs.
