This paper discusses the character that appeared in the insciptions on the bronze you inscribed with“召”,the bronze gui inscribed with“君夫”,the bronze gui inscribed with“”,the bronze gui inscribed with“女妦乍”and the bronze fu inscribed with“妦仲”.Previous researchers deciphered the character as“”or“每”,but now it is interpreted as the Chinese character of“(髦)”.The character“(髦)”on the bronze you means horse mane;the one on the bronze gui inscribed with“君夫”and“”should be read as“懋”,meaning deligence;the one on the bronze gui inscribed with“女妦乍”is used as a person’s name;and the one on the bronze fu is used as a person’s surname.
