衡阳市博物馆馆藏古砚赏析

An Appreciation of Ancient Inkslabs in the Collection of Hengyang Municipal Museum

本文从衡阳市博物馆数百件馆藏精品中遴选四方砚台加以赏析。其中有用汉代残瓦经元代雕琢、铭刻并留有明代王子朱权铭文,流传至今的瓦砚;有明代文徵明父子铭文抄手石砚;还有清代'朱彝尊'铭文和'南园'铭文端砚,均呈梨形。前者砚背以石眼为主题浮雕一鹓,其羽翼环绕砚背四周;后者砚额浮雕蟾蜍戏水。均雕刻以动物为主的纹饰,留白处均刻铭文。这些古砚、古铭,对于研究、揣摩古砚大有裨益.

This paper discusses four inkslabs carefully selected from hundreds of fi ne works in the collection of Hengyang Municipal Museum.These include the tile inkslab carved out of a broken tile of the Han dynasty with inscriptions by Prince Zhu Quan of the Ming Dynasty;the miniature stone inkslab collected and inscribed by the Wen Zhengming and son of the Ming dynasty;the pear-shaped Duanxi inkslabs of the Qing dynasty with the inscriptions of朱彝尊and南园respectively.The back side of the former of the last two has a bas-relief of a legendary bird carved around a pockmark,whose wings spread out around the four sides of the back of the inkslab;the latter has a bas-relief of toads playing with water at one end.These inkslabs are all carved with animal designs while blank spaces are filled with inscriptions.These ancient inkslabs,together with the inscriptions,are very helpful to the study of ancient inkslabs.
