A Study of the Stone Tablet Epitaph of Wu Kejian who was "Secretary of Yantang County" of the Tang Dynasty

本文介绍了唐道州延唐县主簿吴克俭石墓志铭的内容,从志主生平、家族世系、仕途经历等方面对墓志铭所述内容进行了初步考究;同时,就墓志铭所蕴含的修身立业的积极意义以及隐现的地望信息进行了探讨;此外本文还叙述了墓主吴克俭所处之时正是唐代政治腐败,社会动乱之际;对'桃江'地名的变迁也作了考究。

This paper introduces the content of the stone tablet epigraph of Wu Kejian,who was Secretary of Yantang County of Dao Prefecture of the Tang Dynasty,and makes a preliminary investigation of the content from such aspects as the Ufe of Wu Kejian,his family lineage and his official career.At the same time,the author explores the positive significance of self-cultivation and self-establishment contained in the meaning of the epitaph and the implied information of the dominance of the clan in the county.The paper also gives an account of the political corruption and social turbulence of the Tang Dynasty period that the tomb occupant Wu Kejian lived in and an investigation of the change of the place name"Taojiang".
