The Restoration of One Bronze Mirror from the Warring States Period

本文通过对一面战国墓出土铜镜的保存现状进行分析,制订相应的保护修复方案,借助便携式X荧光光谱仪、体视显微镜和化学滴定等科学分析方法掌握文物及病害的基本信息后,采用传统修复工艺和现代保护技术相结合的手段,科学保护处理铜镜病害,修复还原其原貌,取得较好效果。

This paper discusses the restoration of one bronze mirror unearthed from a Warring States period tomb.The whole restoration process begins with an analysis of the preservation condition of the mirror and the making of the protective restoration scheme.After the basic information of this object and its corrosion condition is obtained with the help of such scientific analytical methods as portable X fluorescence spectrophotometer,stereoscopic microscope,and chemical titration,traditional restoration techniques were adopted together with modern protective technology to carry out scientific treatment of corrosion and restore the bronze mirror to its original state.The result is quite satisfactory.
