翠翠:一种人格形态的发生与修正

Cuicui:A Case in Point to Illustrate the Formation and Readjustment of Shen Congwen's Personality

翠翠形象的本原在中国,但其文学形态与美学价值却是由域外文学镜像所触发的。屠格涅夫情景杂糅的乡土抒情方式与人物构造法,不仅直接启示了沈从文的小说创作路径,而且经由日、中现代作家的改造而与沈从文的生命经验相融合。翠翠是作者在漫长生命历程中"深刻悲悯浸润流注"的结晶,她的脱颖而出标志着现代中国一种具有深厚美学意味的人格形态的发生。翠翠从一种人格形态的萌芽到最终确立,从一个偶然的邂逅到一种核心意象乃至于乡土情结的完形,实际上呈现了沈从文人格的自我建构历程。正是在张兆和与翠翠的影像重叠中,沈从文找到了一条发展、调适其审美趣味与生命理想的可能路径,并在一定程度上克服了其自身对于城市文明的游移与不确定性。

Cuicui,a native literature character in China,has been inspired and endowed some aesthetic value by foreign literature images.The fusion of local lyricism and characterization in Turgenev’s works sheds some light on some new concepts in Shen Congwen’s writing,and more importantly,it mixes with Shen Congwen’s own life experience after the modification by some Japanese and Chinese writers.Cuicui,Shen Congwen’s brainchild with his profound sympathy and compassion,marks the beginning of symbolic personality formation with great aesthetic implication in modern China.The whole characterization process of Cuicui,is initially from an unexpected encounter to a core image and further to a complete formation of local complex,which actually parallels to the self-construction road of Shen Congwen’s own personality formation.It is in the overlapping of Zhang Zhaohe in his real life experience and Cuicui in his imaginary world that Shen Congwen gropes out a feasible way to develop and re-adjust his aesthetic and life pursuit,which to some extent enables Shen Congwen to overcome his anxiety of drifting and uncertainty toward urban civilization.
