Study on Legislation of Genetically Modified Food Safety

摘要 虽然生物科技和转基因技术不断发展,但世界范围内对转基因食品安全性的争论从未停止,至今未形成统一认识。转基因食品安全事关国民身体健康及国家安全,鉴于其潜在风险,对转基因食品安全立法标准应当采取"预防原则",进一步严格管控转基因食品的研发、种植、市场化和进口,充分保障民众知情权、选择权和身体健康权,维护国家粮食主权安全。 Although biotechnology and genetically modified technology are developing continuously, the controversy on the safety of genetically modified food has never stopped in the world and has not formed a unified understanding so far. The safety of genetically modified food is related to national health and national security. In view of its potential risks, the legislative standard of genetically modified food safety should adopt the 'precautionary principle', further strictly control the research and development, cultivation, marketization and import of genetically modified food, fully guarantee the people’s right to know, choice and health, and safeguard the sovereign security of national food.
