Yang Meng-fang is an influential poet grown up in the new era in Hunan whose "talent worthy of his reputation". His poetry repeated affection for mother, which highlights compassion and humanity beauty by revealing the conflicts between tradition and modern society. His poetry has formed a more mature writing style and artistic characteristics through heartfelt praise of life and nature, chanting the taste and philosophy of life, longing for the changing times and history over the past by eulogizing as much history and culture.
