On Developing National Relations and Constructing Harmonious Society

民族关系是关系到民族地区社会稳定的重大问题,良好的民族关系是构建和谐社会的坚实基础;而当前我国民族关系面临着国际政治和民族问题、极端民族主义倾向、社会失范和民族冲突、少数民族地区经济文化贫困、民族地区生态环境恶化等带来的负面影响;鉴于此,我们应树立和落实科学发展观,通过大力发展民族地区非公有制经济、加快民族地区农业产业化进程、依据自力更生与国家帮助相结合的原则来发展少数民族地区经济、建设生态文明、不断加强民族法制建设、协调发展民族文化、着力排除不利因素等措施来发展和谐民族关系,以推进和谐社会的构建。

National relations are a major issue related to social stability of ethnic regions.Fine national relations are the solid bases of constructing harmonious society.But currently,national relations in China are confronted with some negative effects: international politics and nationality issues,ultranationalism,social regulation losing and national conflicts,poor ethnic minority economy,and worsening ecological environment.Thus,we should set up scientific development concept,accelerate agriculture industrialization of these areas by developing the non-public sectors of the economy,and develop the economy and ecological environment of these regions,strengthen law construction,coordinated develop national culture and try to remove adverse factors according to the principle of self-reliance and the government’s support to develop harmonious society.
