试论科举制度的社会功能及其现代化启示

On the Sovial Functions of the Chinese Imperial Examination System and its Inspiration of Modernization

从社会学角度看,科举制度至少在以下几个方面发挥了它的重要作用:科举制度促进了社会阶层的转化并加速了社会流动;促进了社会文化的发展并使中国的传统文化得以延续;维护了国家的稳定、有着重要的社会整合功能;推动了世界文明的发展、对世界文明史有着重大影响;科举制度促进了人类社会的进步。

From a sociological perspective,the Chinese imperial examination system had played its important role at least in the following ways:promoting the social system and speeding up the transformation of social mobility;promoting the social and cultural development in ancient China;making Chinese traditional culture continue;safeguarding the stability of the country and playing an important social integration functions;promoting the development of world civilization and also having a major impact on its history and making the human being progress wholly.
