晚清报刊媒介对移风易俗运动的推动——以戊戌维新时期的《湘报》为例

The Impetus Function of Newspaper Media in the Movement of Changing Prevailing Habits and Customs in the Late Qing Dynasty——Taking Xiang Daily in the Reform Movement of 1898 Period as an Example

戊戌时期,维新派掀起了自办报刊的热潮。维新派发起的移风易俗运动,借助报刊媒介的力量,取得了一定的进展。湖南维新派创办的《湘报》,通过刊载抨击缠足、吸食鸦片等恶风陋俗之害的文章进行舆论引导,还发布风俗改良团体成立的各种告示,报道各地移风易俗的相关情况,从言论、组织等方面有效推动了湖南移风易俗的开展。《湘报》凭借其较大的发行量,扩大了移风易俗的影响范围,在当时湖南产生一定的影响。

In the Reform Movement of 1898,people in China especially Wuxu Reformists raised a storm of publishing news-papers.The Movement of Changing Prevailing Habits and Customs launched by Wuxu Reformists had a great progress through newspapers.Hunan’s Wuxu Reformists published Xiang Daily,which published many articles and reported news about changing prevailing habits and customs.Owing to its mass circulation,Xiang Daily played a very major role in changing prevailing habits and customs in Hunan province.
