Zhang Xiaochun′s Experience in Treating Cancer-related Fatigue

癌因性疲乏主要因机体正气不足,癌毒积聚体内,继续耗伤正气,造成恶性循环,故张晓春老师常予黄芪、白术、太子参、人参、茯苓、甘草等护卫正气,当归、生地黄、熟地黄、墨旱莲、女贞子、白芍、沙参、阿胶等滋阴养血扶正,同时可配伍砂仁、藿香、紫苏梗、陈皮、木香等化湿行气之品,使补益而不壅滞。张晓春老师在健脾益肾的基础上,辨证分析,扶正祛邪,积极处理并发症,如过度消耗产生的营养不良、恶病质、疼痛、免疫力低下等;肿瘤的化疗、放疗等引起的不良反应,如恶心呕吐、骨髓抑制、泄泻等。内外兼治,注重患者的饮食、生活、情志等方面的调理,综合治疗,改善疲乏,提高患者生存质量。

Cancer-related fatigue is mainly due to insufficient body qi,accumulation of cancer poisons in the body,which continue to damage qi,causing a vicious circle. Therefore,Mr. Zhang Xiaochun often uses Astragalus,Atractylodes macrocephala,Radix pseudostellariae,Ginseng,Poria cocos,Licorice and other Chinese medicine to protect the vital qi. He uses Chinese medicines such as Angelica sinensis,Rehmannia root,Ripe Rehmannia root,Drought lotus,Privet fruit,Paeonia lactiflora,Radix Salviae miltiorrhizae,Gum aranthi to nourish yin and blood to strength vital qi. At the same time,he also combines with Chinese medicine for dissipating dampness and promoting qi such as Amomum,Agastache,Perilla stem,Tangerine peel,Wood incense and so on,so as to benefit without obstruction. On the basis of invigorating the spleen and benefiting the kidney,Mr. Zhang Xiaochun makes dialectical analysis,strengthens the body and dispells pathogens,and actively dealts with complications,such as malnutrition,nausea,pain and low immunity caused by excessive consumption;adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting,bone marrow suppression and diarrhea caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy of tumors.
