陈实功为明代著名外科医家,是中医外科学三大流派之一正宗派创始人,其"脾胃为要"的学术思想贯穿疡疾治疗的始终。陈实功认为疡疾的发生、发展及预后转归与脾胃关系密切,脾胃功能受损,可导致疡疾为患。治疗疡疾时当以"初期宜消,慎伤脾胃;将溃宜托,健运脾胃;溃后宜补,强壮脾胃"为治疗法则,日常调护也应注重脾胃,慎用寒凉以免损及脾胃。

Chen Shigong was a famous surgical doctor in China in the Ming Dynasty.He was the founder of one of the three major schools of Chinese medicine surgery.The academic idea of'Spleen and Stomach functions being the most important'was the essential principle in treatment of ulcer disease.According to Chen Shigong,the occurrence,development and prognosis of the ulcer diseases are closely related to the functions of Spleen and Stomach,the impairing of which can lead to ulcer diseases.Therefore,when treating ulcer disease,the functions of Spleen and Stomac should be protected,which is the treatment principle during the whole process.Specifically,when Xiao method is used at the first stage;the functions of Spleen and Stomach should be supplemented when Tuo method is used at the point of ulcer bursting;the functions of Spleen and Stomach should be funther strengthened after the collapse of the ulcer.Caution should also be taken in daily care to maintain the good conditions of Spleen and Stomache,such as trying to avoid much medicine with cold character.
