The importance of ecological building and building materials is discussed, at the same time the characteristics and development prospect of ecological building and building materials are analyzed. Based those analysis tow ways suit the situation in our country are proposed to instruct the development of ecological building materials to acquire accordant development of economy, resource and environment.
